What’s changing
We’ve launched a new home for Canton Network’s documentation - making it easier to find, navigate, and build on Canton Network.
Canton developer documentation across Canton Network, Digital Asset, and Canton Foundation sites are now consolidated into a single entry point.
Our goal is to help developers to learn, build, test, and launch faster - reducing the time it takes to go from first interaction to deploying a production-ready application. At the same time, we aim to provide clearer context on why to build on Canton Network, not just how, so developers can build more confidently with purpose.
Why we’re making this change
In our recent Q1 developer tooling survey, one theme was clear: documentation felt fragmented. Developers weren’t always sure:
As the network has evolved towards a more open source, ecosystem-driven model, it’s important that the developer experience evolves alongside it.
What this change delivers
The full transition of Canton Network related docs to Canton Network channels is a direct response to the feedback. By consolidating into one place, we’re creating:
In addition to content improvements, we’re also introducing AI-powered workflows to enhance the developer experience:
What’s new for Digital Asset’s docs
Digital Asset’s docs will now focus exclusively on Digital Asset’s products. New and improved docs will be available soon. If you’ve bookmarked pages impacted by this transition, you’ll see a banner that will guide to the relevant updated docs.
What’s new for Splice docs
Splice docs will no longer be updated and will be retired following a transition period. During this time, existing documentation will remain available to support users as they migrate to the updated resources.
