The Canton wallet ecosystem offers users and builders the freedom to choose how they manage their assets or integrate access - from self-custodial to fully custodial options, enterprise-grade to retail wallets, and hot or cold key storage. Every participant, whether a corporate client, HNWI investor, or retail user, can connect and transact securely in a way that best suits their needs. The ecosystem seamlessly supports a full spectrum of assets, including Canton Coin and all other Canton assets issued under the Canton Token Standard (CIP-56).

For application builders, Canton’s broad wallet ecosystem supports onboarding for any type of user. Developer tooling available in the ecosystem, such as Digital Asset’s Wallet SDK, helps builders accelerate the development of CIP-56 compatible wallet experiences. CIP-56 is a token interface standard that defines how on-chain assets are presented and managed on Canton Network, standardizing how tokens securely move between participants, ensuring seamless interoperability as the network continues to scale.
